Even though you will be able to try some of Adirondack Winery’s wines at the Festival, you won’t get to try them all… so be sure to put a visit to the Adirondack Winery Tasting Room at the top of your list of things to do while you’re in town for the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival!  The Adirondack Winery staff are responsible for organizing the Festival and brought it to life three years ago to become one of the biggest and best events in our region!

2017 is a BIG year for the Lake George Steamboat Company, as they celebrate their Bicentennial! For the last 200 years, the company has commissioned 15 major vessels and today, you can enjoy a beautiful ride and tour of Lake George on their three vessels:

  • The Minne-Ha-Ha is one of the last steam paddle wheelers in America. She is perfect for kids and families with tight schedules. She takes an hour-long cruise, 7 times a day. Guests will be delighted with the Minne’s authentic steam calliope concert in between each cruise. The Minne also has a Moonlite Cruise every Saturday night during the summer with live entertainment. Nothing better than sailing along, listening to good music in the soft summer evening air!
  • The Mohican is the oldest continuously operated tour boat in America. Launched in 1908, the Mohican began her 108th year of service in 2016. She offers a variety of cruises, from one that tours the entire length of the 32-mile long Lake George to others that show off the Islands of Lake George, as well as a food cruise most evenings during the week (Taco Tuesday, Mac ‘n Cheese Wednesday, Pizza Thursday, and Pasta Friday).
  • The 190 foot long Lac du Saint Sacrement is the largest cruise ship on the inland waters of New York State. She offers a two-hour Luncheon and Dinner cruise daily. In addition, a Champagne Sunday Brunch cruise is also offered and is a real favorite!

The Lake George Steamboat Company is a proud supporter of local craft beverage makers; carrying beer wine and spirits from some of your favorite Adirondack Wine & Food Festival vendors. While on board, be sure to try their selection of wines, custom made by Adirondack Winery: “Lac Du Pinot”, “Blushing Minne”, “Mohican Pinot Gris” and “Steamboat Amethyst Sunset”.

The Steamboat Company Pier is also the closest Trolley Stop to the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival or if you’re looking for parking, their Parking Lot is the CLOSEST lot to the Festival, located right between the Lake and Festival Commons! Park for the day for a nominal fee, enjoy the festival and end your night on a Steamboat Cruise!

An exciting piece of history just waiting to be explored!

Sitting atop a small rise, Fort William Henry commanded the southern end of Lake George November 1755 to August 1757 during the French & Indian War.

You will meet a guide dressed in 18th century military costume to begin your tour.  The guide will explain the weapons and warfare of the period including conducting live firing demonstrations of musket and cannon along with a musket ball molding demonstration.  Following your guided tour, a self guided tour will take you through the museum and its many exhibits.

Adirondack Theatre Festival (ATF) is a professional not-for-profit summer theatre located in Glens Falls, NY. ATF strives to challenge, entertain, and nourish its audience through the development and production of new and contemporary musicals and plays. This relationship engages the community as audience members and participants in workshops, discussions, and educational programming.

We are located 5 miles from Lake George, in a quiet and relaxed pastoral setting with 200 acres of land and fantastic views of “French Mountain” from “French and Indian War” fame. We have outdoor seating available so you can relax and view wildlife, and the stunning landscape that our distillery has to offer.
